Lithium chloride (Lithium chloride),
the molecular formula is LiCl, and the molecular weight is 42.39.
 white crystal, deliquescence.
It is salty, easy to dissolve in water, ethanol, acetone, pyridine and other organic solvents. It is low toxic, but has a strong irritation and corrosion to the eyes and mucous membrane.
Lithium chloride is used mainly in the field of air conditioning, used as flux, desiccant, chemical reagents, and for making fireworks, dry batteries and lithium metal.
The material for making lithium metal. The flux, such as titanium and aluminum, is used as an aluminum soldering agent, an air conditioning dehumidifier and a special cement raw material. It is also used for flame, and is used to produce lithium manganese battery electrolyte in the battery industry. [4] anhydrous LiCl is mainly used for the electrolytic preparation of metal lithium and aluminum flux and brazing agent and the moisture absorption (dehumidification) agent in the non freezing air conditioner.
The evaporation of LiCl aqueous solution can get LiCl.2H2O crystal, and it can get anhydrous salt when it is above 98. However, when it is heated to the crystal water, it loses part of HCl at the same time, and the product is alkaline [3]. Pure anhydrous LiCl (pH=6~7 of aqueous solution) should be dehydrated by dehydration, CO heated with NH4Cl, heated in dry HCl airstream to 200 c or under no oxygen condition, and then prepared with pure nitrogen spray drying. LiCl 2H2O or anhydrous salts are very easy to absorb into the water in the air.
The industry is mainly extracted from the lithium mica, spodumene, and the extraction of salt brine after NaCl and KCl. It is usually used by Li2CO3 or LiOH with hydrochloric acid.
