Bismuth oxide is a light yellow powder. It is heated to orange, and it continues to be red brown, and it is still light yellow after cold. Insoluble in water and alkali and dissolved in acid to form bismuth salt, it can be reduced by C and CH4. The melting point is 824 C, and the boiling point is 1890. Bismuth oxide usually exists in the crystalline form of alpha, beta, gamma and 2 non stoichiometric phases. The 4 main crystalline phases are monoclinic phase alpha -Bi2O3, tetragonal phase beta -Bi2O3, body cubic phase gamma -Bi2O3, and surface cubic phase Delta -Bi2O3. The alpha and delta phase are low temperature and high temperature stable phase, and the other phase is high temperature metastable phase.
Bismuth oxide is widely used.
Chemical industry (such as chemical reagents, bismuth salt manufacture, etc.)
Photoelectric materials (bismuth based glass)
Electronics industry (electronic ceramics, ferrite cores, Zinc Oxide resistors, etc.)
Coatings (automotive coatings, anticorrosive coatings at the bottom of the ship, electrical paint and polyurethane floor materials)
Bismuth molybdenum catalyst, yttrium bismuth catalyst, burning rate catalyst
Among them, the electronic industry is the most widely used bismuth oxide industry, mainly used in Zinc Oxide varistor, ceramic capacitance, ferrite magnetic materials.
Electronic grade bismuth oxide, suitable for magnetic materials, varistors, electronic paste, printing ink, welding materials, electronic components, ceramic capacitors.
Industrial grade bismuth oxide, suitable for: Ceramic embryo, ceramic pigment, fireworks and so on.
