High Purity Gallium Metal Cas No 7440-55-3 formula Ga alias Ga Liquid Metal for CuInGaSe

 

Metal gallium is a rare silver white metal; it is in solid form when temperature is above 29 degree centigrade and in liquid form when temperature is below 29 degree centigrade

Gallium is divided into five levels, 4N, 5N, 6N, 7N and 8N according to gallium content.  It looks like soft light blue luster.

The boiling point of gallium metal is 2403 degrees centigrade. It is trapezoid crystal with significant anisotropy. The three axes of the resistivity is at 0 C are 1.75 x 10-6 Omega m, 8.20 x 10-6 Omega m and 55.30 * 10-6 Omega m along a, B, and C axes, respectively. Ultra pure gallium residual resistivity ratio p 300K/ P 4.2K 55000.

It is producing by chemical treatment, electrolysis refining, vacuum distillation, regional melting and mainly used in the field of electronics industry and communication.

It is also the raw material for making gallium compounds and semiconductors, the dopant of silicon and germanium semiconductor, and the heat exchange medium of nuclear reactor etc.
